About the Unlock PDF / Remove Password (client-side)
Many PDFs are protected with an "owner" password that restricts actions like printing, copying text, or editing, without requiring any password just to open and view the document. This tool removes those restriction-based protections entirely inside your browser, producing an unrestricted copy of your PDF.
This tool is useful for anyone who owns or has legitimate rights to a PDF but finds themselves blocked from printing or copying text from it, archivists needing to remove outdated restrictions from internal documents, and professionals who need to edit a company-authored PDF that had print/copy restrictions applied by a previous tool.
To use it, upload a restricted PDF (one that opens without a password prompt but blocks actions like printing or copying). The tool loads the document while bypassing its restriction flags, then re-saves it as a clean, unrestricted PDF, ready for download.
